"The psychology and art found in the UGA system keeps my interest and allows me to continue to grow. Fighting has become more than a foot fist conflict with no purpose. I now see fighting as a system of steps and flows used to defend against an attack and prevent the recurrence. Combat scenarios can occur weather provoked or not. Deadly force is a last result and a powerful weapon when instituted under the correct circumstances. The UGA system is not only excellent for all skill levels but it instills discipline and the psychology for those looking to upgrade their skills and improve the quality of life they live. Self confidence combined with skill and a strong reality of your surroundings will allow each student to expand his or her knowledge withing the UGA combat system. It has changed and improved my life and continues to expand my psychological horizons. Thank you Sifu Uga". ~C.Lyman U.S. Navy
"Guru Uga marries the combat-mind set with universal concepts; the tools of which one can confidently live and succeed in any combination(s) of violent scenarios. No bulls***, this is the "special forces" of all that's out there". ~M.King (former U.S. Army and private security officer)
"I love this book, this is great, your not reinventing the wheel but simplifying and that is what people need....what you have here is a great piece of work". ~Sensei Chuck Cloe
"I have been involved with martial arts training for close to twenty years. I have had the privilege of being Sifu Uga’s primary student since 2002. Over those years Jason tested his concepts, teaching methods and training drills on me. Just like Bruce Lee, he refined his system as necessary after reviewing what did and didn’t work. This book captures and presents Mr. Uga’s system and philosophies in an easy to understand manner. The key here is concepts. Sifu Uga does not teach a million techniques; he advocates a conceptual approach where one can apply the same actions against any type of attack: empty-handed, edged weapon, pistol or blunt object. His DIE principle, (Destroy, Invade & Eliminate), is the highest tenet and key to the system. Destroy whatever comes at you, invade the enemy’s space and eliminate the threat. In pressure-packed situations with adrenaline pumping, the technique approach will fail; however, DIE is instinctive and immediately applicable because it’s a concept. I urge any of you who desire a realistic, no-nonsense fighting system, with nary an inkling of sport leakage, to purchase this book, read it several times and start applying concepts". ~Sifu K. Knee
I am reading the work you have done. So far I feel this "hits the target" and is material that has not been addressed in who knows how long. Some Masters Preach that Martial Arts is the way to peace, while others say it is a mode of survival. I tend to believe both sides, however.........My deep rooted belief agrees with youre judgement and theory of fighting. When engaged in combat, it is life or death. I am not into tournament fighting, it is not real to me. I train for the streets, fight to survive and use only what works.
